Yes. We provide a free home survey as a standard part of the quotation process. Our surveyor will visit your property, measure accurately, discuss your product choices and confirm any installation requirements before any order is placed.
Our installation team will arrive at the agreed time, protect the working area inside and outside the property, remove the existing frames (or carry out the agreed works), fit the new products and ensure everything is sealed, finished and operating correctly before leaving. We clean up fully at the end of each day's work.
Aperture Windows & Doors is a supply-and-install company. We source and supply all products as part of the job — this ensures the products fitted are appropriate for your property and that the installation is carried out correctly with the right materials.
Yes — Aperture Windows & Doors is fully insured. Details of our insurance cover can be confirmed on request.
We can replace individual windows or doors as well as full-house installations. We will always try to match the profile colour and style to your existing frames where a single unit is being replaced. Contact us and we can advise on whether a matching product is available.
In most cases in England, replacing like-for-like windows and doors is covered by Permitted Development rights and does not require planning permission. Exceptions include listed buildings, properties in conservation areas, and some Article 4 Direction areas. We always recommend checking with your local planning authority if you are in any doubt — contact us and we can advise on the likely requirements for your property type and location.
uPVC and aluminium windows and doors require very little maintenance. The frames can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soapy water — avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents. Moving parts such as hinges and locking mechanisms should be lightly lubricated periodically with a suitable product. We provide care and maintenance guidance with every installation.
